On July 4, 2017, the Institute and the employer signed the CS collective agreement. Today`s signing of CS Group`s collective agreement follows the Group`s ratification in May 2017 of the preliminary agreement reached with the employer in March 2017. The employer has 120 days from the date of signature to introduce retroactive remuneration. The CS bargaining team announces that our new CS collective agreement has been signed. The agreement entered into force on 26 February 2021 and is valid from December 2018 to December 2021. After approval by the Treasury Board, the collective agreement is signed. The employer then has 180 days to implement the collective agreement, including most retroactive payments. (Does not apply to civilian members of the RCMP as they are not subject to collective agreements until the decision is made.) After intense negotiations, the CS Group bargaining team was very disappointed when they announced that we had not reached an interim agreement with the Treasury Board Secretariat. Finally, we have ensured an overall increase of 6% for all members during the term of the agreement. Of course, we will continue to press Treasury Board to make further improvements in the next round of negotiations.
The AV, NR, RE, SH, PS, NRC (LS, IR, RO-RCO, TR), CRA (AFS), OSFI, CNSC (NUREG), NEB and NFB groups have negotiated and ratified new collective agreements.
